APEC Reverse Osmosis ROES-PH75 Review

How clean is the water you drink? Have you had hard water with a chlorine, chalk, or chemical taste to it? Do you have to resort to purchasing bottled water to stay hydrated during the day?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, reverse osmosis water might be a good option for you. Reverse osmosis is a high-efficiency filtration system that eliminates virtually all pollutants from water.

This includes particle matter, hazardous chemicals, sediment, chlorine, lead, copper, and a variety of other pollutants that could hurt your health or cause damage to your house.

A reverse osmosis filtering system may make a big impact; after using one, you’ll notice how much cleaner your clothes, dishes, and even your body are! Reverse osmosis is the most popular of the numerous types of water filtering systems.

To help you understand why, we’ll go over the numerous reverse osmosis water benefits and review one of the top RO water filtration systems in this piece.

What Is Reverse Osmosis, and How Does It Work?

apec-water-purifier-system

When pressure forces unfiltered water or feed water across a semipermeable membrane, reverse osmosis eliminates impurities. The water flows from the RO membrane’s higher concentrated side (with more impurities) to the less concentrated side (with fewer contaminants.

Its purpose is to give you clean drinking water. Permeate is the term for the produced freshwater and the leftover concentrated water is the waste or brine.

Small pores in a semipermeable membrane keep pollutants out while allowing water molecules to pass through. As water travels through the membrane in osmosis, it becomes more concentrated, achieving balance on both sides.

Reverse osmosis, on the other hand, prevents pollutants from passing through the membrane to the less concentrated side.

For example, when reverse osmosis mixes to a volume of saltwater, it will remove the salt and only clean water comes through.

The Advantages of Reverse Osmosis

According to our scientific screening procedures, reverse osmosis continues to be the most effective technology for filtering potentially dangerous substances from water. Healthcare specialists highly recommend RO system due to its effectiveness. The advantages of consuming reverse osmosis water are incalculable.

Reverse Osmosis System Contains Less Contaminants

Reverse Osmosis is the most effective purifying method for removing these chemical components from water. This approach is regarded as the most effective for purifying water for industrial and printing processes that require mineral-free water.

On-Demand Clean Water from a Reverse Osmosis System

A reverse osmosis filter has the advantage of connecting directly to your faucet and supplying clean drinking water on demand. You might even forget the filter is there, doing its job, after a while.

RO Will Help You Save Money

Another of the major advantages of reverse osmosis systems is their capacity to dramatically cut your living expenditures. Filtering water at home does not cost much money and you’ll get suprised if you’re used to buying bottled water.

APEC Reverse Osmosis ROES-PH75 Features

The APEC Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System offers an effective water filtration system for homes and offices, with five total filters and a semi-permeable membrane to give you the cleanest, clearest water without losing the alkaline taste. The following are some of the important features to look out of the APEC ESSENCE ROES-PH75:

NO-Lead Designer Faucet

This RO system comes with a lead-free designer faucet so there’s no need to worry about finding a faucet to go with. The faucet is a basic non-air gap kind and readily installed in most sinks for the simplest installation.

Large Water Storage Tank

The system comes with a 4-gallon pressure water storage tank for retaining water before it reaches the drinking faucet. The storage tank automatically refills with water when you consumed the water, so that it is always full and ready for use.

Sediment Filter Made of Polypropylene

The pre-stage filter in the filtration system is a high-capacity polypropylene sediment device for eliminating bigger particles from water such as sand, dust, and dirt. This extends the system’s life by eliminating particles that could otherwise harm membranes and filters.

Filters with Two Carbon Blocks

This reverse osmosis system’s double carbon block filters successfully eliminate chlorine and other common chemicals’ undesirable tastes, smells, cloudiness, and colors. These filters have a broad carbon block surface that maximizes contact time, allowing them to remove up to 99.99 percent of chlorine compounds from water.

Semi-permeable RO membrane

The high rejection semi-permeable reverse osmosis membrane is at the center of the RO system. The membrane thoroughly decontaminates water by removing up to 99 percent of total dissolved solids, including lead, arsenic, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants.

Carbon Filter (Advanced)

The advanced coconut shell carbon refining filter is the final filter in this system that allows water to pass through. This filter sits between the storage tank and the faucet, filtering out any odors or tastes that the water may have picked up while in the tank.

Filtration System Design

The APEC ROES-PH75 filter/housing system is a filter/housing system in which means that you can remove all of the filters in a filter housing, install the replacement filter, and restore housing. This can be a little untidy because there is also water in the housing.

You need to replace the stage 1, 2, and 3 filters after about six months of use, and you need to unscrew it by hand after loosening with the included “C” spanner wrench. Remove and replace the old filter element, followed by screwing the filter housing in and tightened with the “C” spanner.

APEC RO System Water Efficiency

Some incoming water is used to flush the RO membrane and create back pressure, as it is with all RO systems. This waste water is flushed down the toilet. According to APEC, waste water might be rerouted for irrigation of gardens or other non-drinking purposes. To reach your waste water storage container, you’d only need a little more tubing.

The amount of water required to flush the membrane varies depending on the input water pressure, but on average, 3 gallons are wasted for every 1 gallon of pure water generated by the APEC ROES-PH75.

How to Replace Pre-Filters in Stages 1, 2, and 3:

  1. Turn off the RO system’s cold water supply. Turn off the ball valve in the tank. To relieve the pressure inside the RO system, lift the RO faucet lever for a few seconds. This will make it easy to open the housings.
  2. Stand the RO upright in open housing. Place the plastic wrench on the #1 housing and tighten it. When looking down from the top, turn the housing clockwise to open it. If required, place RO on the ground to gain more leverage. If the housing is too tight, knock on the wrench handle with a hammer to help turn the wrench.
  3. Discard three used filters and wash the housings with mild soap before rinsing. Install three new filters in their respective housings: a sediment filter in stage one, carbon block filters in stages two and three, and a carbon block filter in stage four.
  4. Tighten the housings. In the thread groves of each housing, please ensure a black O-ring is present. Tighten each housing with a wrench.
  5. After you’ve completed changing the filters, remember to turn on the cold water supply and OPEN the tank valve!
  6. Make sure there are no leaks!

Note: After removing the housing, remove the filthy filters and replace them with the new three pre-filters. Remember that the carbon filters in Stages 2 and 3 are the same.

Final Verdict

The APEC ROES-PH75 is indeed a wonderful upgrade to kitchen tap water.

While the filters are a little more difficult to replace than the modular filters found on competitors’ systems like the Home Master, they are less expensive than many competitors.

Although the waste water produced is on the high end, many people choose this system because of the high output.

The APEC Reverse Osmosis ROES-PH75 is a strongly recommended RO filter system for better water pH, high quality, and lower than average maintenance expenses.
